🟩 Washington State: Land of the Sealed and the Home of the Hemptight

Washington is one of the strictest states when it comes to cannabis packaging. All products must be:

RCW 69.50.345 – Gives the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) authority to regulate all cannabis packaging.

WAC 314-55-105 – This is the holy grail of weed packaging law in WA. It outlines the “no smell, no sample, no fun” clause (not literally, but it might as well).

👉 This means no deli-style displays, no smelling the flower, and no peeking—you buy it like a blind date and just hope for the best.


🟧 Oregon (Portland): Where the Weed is Loose and the Rules are Chill

Now, cross the Columbia River into Portland, Oregon, and it’s a whole different sesh. Oregon still requires childproof and tamper-evident packaging, BUT:
