Fan Base? or Crime Syndicate?

Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J of the iconic underground hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse appeared on the podcast Drink Champs, hosted by Noreaga, alongside DJ EFN. Shaggy described their past experience where their fanbase, known as Juggalos, was once listed on the FBI National Gang Assessment. The news of their Juggalo title being identified and labeled as a notorious gang alongside other street and prison gangs was initially received as “cool.” However, this classification led to their merchandise being pulled from retail and commercial outlets due to the consequences of being seen as gang-affiliated. Their live performances were sometimes treated like “gang rallies.” Anyone wearing their merchandise or their iconic Hatchet Man logo was targeted as a gang member.

The interview is set to be released on Thursday, July 19th. Click below for Revolts Youtube Link to keep up with Drink Champs Podcast.
