Rick Hyde Announces New Album & Drops “Streets Ain’t The Same” Feat. Benny The Butcher, Elcamino

One of the rising talents from Benny The Butcher’s BSF (Black Soprano Family) imprint, Rick Hyde is one of the longest-tenured BSF members and has been predominantly featured on all BSF projects, adding standout verses to BSF’s “Times Is Rough” (produced by DJ Premier), “Survivor’s Remorse” (from Benny’s The Plugs I Met 2) and the title track “Pyrex Picasso” (which also featured Conway The Machine) from Benny’s Pyrex Picasso.

Rick Hyde’s debut BSF project, Plates 2 (2021) featured appearances from Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, A$AP Ferg, G Herbo, Meyhem Lauren, Skyzoo, Jay Worthy, KIlla Kyleon and production from The Alchemist, Harry Fraud, Daringer and of course; DJ Shay and he followed that up with STIMA (2022), which featured appearances from Benny The Butcher and Rome Streetz and production from The Alchemist, Daringer and Rick himself

Now, Rick Hyde is back and along with releasing a new single, “Streets Ain’t The Same” featuring Benny The Butcher and Elcamino, he also announced his new forthcoming project LUPARA set to drop on August 4th.

Grieves showcased an intimate, rare performance, delivering songs from their catalog including Irreversible , 88 Keys & Counting , Together/Apart , Winter & the Wolves , Running Wild , and their latest album, Canopy . Didier Malherbe in 1990's Fetish CD [plus 1979 Bloom, 1981 Melodic Destiny, 1986 Faton Bloom, 1989 Saxo Folies]

  I thought for sure I posted him before, but only in connection with Faton Cahen, here , and Patrice Meyer . Of course he's most known for the work he did with Gong . From the requested album Fetish, released 1990, the last 2 songs feature synth player Rykiel, discogged here .  These are really lovely, consider Hors D'oeuvres: I'm assuming everyone is already familiar with the great Bloom album and Faton Bloom, which is a kind of follow up from 1986 with Cahen.  From that one, the lovely but oddly named Vulvox: From the cassette only release with guitarist Yan Emeric, A Breughel really blew me away in its compositional glory, I am not sure which of his paintings the progressive complexity could be alluding to: Otherwise this release is a bit of mixed bag.
