"Whoa Is Me" by Grieves is a dope track! I heard it over at a friend's house and it immediately caught my ear! Although this song was released only 2 years ago, it reminded me that there are countless dope tracks out there already released. Tha pool of independent music has risen significantly, and it has made it a bit more challenging to find what you're looking for.

"Whoa Is Me" off of Grieves album Winter & The Wolves compliments the image of Seattle's lovely music scene. You know that feeling you get when you hear artists like Macklemore, Scribes, Grynch, Gabriel Teodros, and others. These artists all have a way of connecting with people through their music. Grieves is no exception. Since hearing this track, it has pulled me away from listening to my own mixtape as well as the beats I've been writing songs to lately.

True Hip Hop fans can definitely relate to this track. From the melodic piano to tha humorous lyrics, Grieves delivers a quality Hip Hop track with a tight hook to go with it. I'm afraid to say, these days, it seems as though all tha non-black artists are tha ones fighting to keep tha culture alive while tha black artists are at tha edge of tha latest musical trend. It makes sense to me. It's no secret that African Americans have been among tha elite trendsetters in American culture. But, I'm going to do like tha song say," I don't wanna talk about it!" lol

Grieves Brings the Out Cold Tour to the Lodge Room

Grieves showcased an intimate, rare performance, delivering songs from their catalog including Irreversible , 88 Keys & Counting , Together/Apart , Winter & the Wolves , Running Wild , and their latest album, Canopy . The Out Cold tour made its final stop here in Los Angeles, giving the crowd a chance to celebrate Grieves’ birthday. The Out Cold Tour was accompanied by The Street Sweepers and SOLO of Horrorshow . The Street Sweepers opened the night, getting the crowd pumped up and singing along. They also delivered a couple of hilarious skits. Didier Malherbe in 1990's Fetish CD [plus 1979 Bloom, 1981 Melodic Destiny, 1986 Faton Bloom, 1989 Saxo Folies]

  I thought for sure I posted him before, but only in connection with Faton Cahen, here , and Patrice Meyer . Of course he's most known for the work he did with Gong . From the requested album Fetish, released 1990, the last 2 songs feature synth player Rykiel, discogged here .  These are really lovely, consider Hors D'oeuvres: I'm assuming everyone is already familiar with the great Bloom album and Faton Bloom, which is a kind of follow up from 1986 with Cahen.  From that one, the lovely but oddly named Vulvox: From the cassette only release with guitarist Yan Emeric, A Breughel really blew me away in its compositional glory, I am not sure which of his paintings the progressive complexity could be alluding to: Otherwise this release is a bit of mixed bag.
