What God Wants Us To Know

“I keep My promises, but you must have the courage to trust Me and walk faithfully in what I have called you to do.”

Joshua tells the story of Israel entering the Promised Land under Joshua's leadership after the death of Moses. The book demonstrates God's faithfulness in fulfilling His promise to give Israel the land He had promised their ancestors. At the same time, Joshua emphasizes that receiving God's promises requires faith, obedience, and courage. The victories of Israel were not presented as the result of human strength alone, but as the result of trusting the God who fought on their behalf. Joshua ends with a call for continued faithfulness: “choose you this day whom ye will serve.”
