Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers Bring Grammy-Winning Funk, Jazz, and Soul to Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley

Seattle music lovers are in for a treat as Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley welcomes five-time Grammy-winning bassist Victor Wooten and the legendary Wooten Brothers for a series of electrifying performances. The shows kick off on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 7:30 PM (PDT), with additional sets running through the weekend. Doors open at 6:00 PM Thursday, and 5:30 PM Friday through Sunday, with multiple showtimes, including Thursday and Sunday at 7:30 PM, and Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

The Wooten Brothers—Victor (bass), Joseph (keyboards and vocals), Reggie (guitar), and Roy (drums)—have a rich musical legacy that spans over five decades. Their journey began in Hawaii in 1966 with early performances that showcased their prodigious talents. Victor, the youngest, learned to talk and play music simultaneously, absorbing lessons from his older siblings and eventually carving out his place as one of the greatest bassists of all time, according to Rolling Stone.

Over the years, the Wootens evolved from R&B prodigies to masters of jazz, jazz fusion, classical, country, and beyond. Their 1985 Arista Records debut, The Wootens, blended electronic, funk, soul, disco, and boogie—a taste of the multifaceted sound they would continue to expand in the decades to follow. Individually and collectively, the brothers have toured arenas and intimate venues worldwide, always returning to perform together, drawing from their deep familial bond and disciplined musicianship.

Their artistry isn’t just rooted in natural talent; it’s a lifelong commitment to sound, silence, and community. The Wootens innovate instruments, revive compositions of historic composers, and continuously create, perform, and record music that celebrates both technical mastery and emotional depth.
