Lyric Jones Taps UHMEER For New Single 'In Due Time'

On the heels of her Warm Audio performance at the 2025 NAMM Show, LA-based singer, DJ and multi-hyphenate Lyric Jones returns with "In Due Time", her first new single of the new year released today (2/28/2025) on all major digital streaming platforms. After penning the lyrics to the song over a different instrumental, Lyric left the song untouched for nearly two years. With the eventual help from producer Ian Wallace, "In Due Time" was able to come closer to its final form. The track was finally pushed through to the finish line with the addition of a guest verse from UHMEER. "Initially, this song was just a demo with a rap verse by me", Lyric explains. "I eventually reworked the lyrics to fit seamlessly with the new production ideas Ian sent over, then we finalized it over a few Zoom sessions together. The real breakthrough came after my first in-person meeting with UHMEER at DJ Jazzy Jeff's most recent PLAYLIST retreat late last year. While I had already been familiar with UHMEER's awesome work, it was here where I finally met him in person and reconnected with Ian. And the rest is history."

"Everyone always says, 'In due time', 'Keep going' etc. That's been my life's anthem. This song is me holding onto hope that my hard work and connections aren't for nothing... As I shift gears a little into a space creatively and genre wise, I’m hoping this path is the one that finally leads to the success I’ve been working hard for. It’s kind of a call back to my last album titled 'Closer Than They Appear'... This song went through many phases over two years, showing how creativity unfolds—and just like its message, everything pulled together in its own time." - Lyric Jones
