Impeachment (poem)

They gathered in the chambers to debate a system encased in corruption 
Crimes committed, defense and denial lead to our mutual destruction 
Words were weaponized 
Frothing at the mouth, the hoards aimed to make their lies canonized 

A white supremacist atop a pyramid of leeches 
Murky waters as poison was expelled in multiple speeches 
The plutocracy openly deceives us 
Ready to let a criminal for free due to intentional malfeasance

Another day increases the divide
The rift continuously grows between them and I 
The empire falters through arrogance that hits like cyanide 
Witnessing the fall of it all in real time
It feels like we're experiencing America's suicide
