The Science Behind Why It Rains So Much In Seattle

Seattle's geographic location plays a pivotal role in its precipitation patterns. As these air masses move inland, they encounter the cool slopes of the mountains, leading to condensation and the formation of clouds. The result? Rain.

Seattle experiences a temperate maritime climate, characterized by mild, wet winters and relatively dry summers.
